Hello everyone, my name is Sharon Padget and I teach at Ottumwa High School in Ottumwa Iowa. 2010 Olympic Project

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for classes to participate in an Olympic Project for the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, Canada. I have a grade 5&6 class that will be working on the project but I anticipate that many different grades will be able to work on the activities either as individuals or as a class group.

It is a nice and very interesting activity. We choose a theme and some activities. We made different presentations of the them> power points, posters, drawings... We talk on Skype, mail.
The students talk, change ideas and informations.
This is a short presentation.

Offering the Eracism Project to Year 7s

Today I offered the opportunity to a class of Year 7s to be part of the Eracism project.
An interesting learning experience for several reasons
1. Having to 'sell' the idea to students who did not know me (me being new to the school) showed how much more difficult it is when you don't have the personal 'capital' to call on. This led to:
