I am a middle school library media specialist and am a current fellow of MAGPI/UPenn K-20 team. We are working on developing projects for elementary and secondary students that will take advantage of Internet2 and videoconferencing technologies. I would like to develop an exchange between our middle school and an Islamic school, through videoconferencing and/or Web 2.0 tools.

I teach grade 8 reading and grades 5-8 writing. We work in wiki which the kids love. I am interested in digital citizenship and will check out the links in those who are already members. Thanks.

Digital Task force Wiki
I'm part of a digital task force at our school. Take a look around our wiki. It is filled with ideas and resources you can use in the classroom.

Kimberly, I'm on my way to look at your wiki.

On a related note, I've been tasked with putting together some advisory lessons on global citizenship. Our first unit will be on digital citizenship. I'm already onto digiteen and I'm looking for other resources and outlets.

School starts in two weeks so I'm starting to get a bit serious about planning. My grade 6&7 class worked on several collaborative projects last year. I'll be organizing an Iditarod project for February & March if anyone is interested.

You're looking at a person who has just moved from Penang, Malaysia to Singapore to work in Grade 6 at Canadian International School. I'm now "the new kid on the block" rather than the old buffalo, which is invigorating. It also means I have NO IDEA what to do - or what is going to happen so I'm a bit like an amoeba reacting to light at the moment....

Hi. I teach 7th and 8th grade advanced American History in Tallahassee, FL. I would really like to partner with a social studies teacher for an online collaborative project. We did online collaborative projects within our classes last year, and now we're ready to take it to the next level. Any suggestions?

Sorry. I should have introduced myself here. I am a middle school math teacher in the US who also helps coordinate our advisory program. I am particularly interested in hearing about/creating ways to collaborate around the world on math projects, or projects with a strong math component.

I'm also looking for ways to make the technologies we discuss surrounding Web 2.0 more math-symbology friendly.

I am an 8th grade science teacher and department chair for the middle school science department. I will have some upcoming projects that would be good for collaboration.

Hi Ryan Yes, we may be interested here in Beijing, China. What response have you had so far? A cultural exchange is an excellent idea. I am sure it will align with a UOI here. Julie Lindsay Beijing (BISS) International School
