Julie Lindsay of Flatclassrooms has just Twittered about the existence of a Ning called PYP Threads. It is organised along the lines of the Transdisciplinary themes and should serve the PYP community very well. While Flat Classroom site still serves a potential role in connecting PYP classes around the world, this other site should also be of great value. Leave a note on this site if you find engaging discussions.

Collaboration in the PYP

In March this year I attended a PYP workshop in Lisbon on the title of this post. I've also just invited all the participants whose email addresses I have. I'm hoping that some will join and continue the journey further.

I'm not sure how to take the next step and get some global collaborators but I do know that online collaboration is a highly motivating experience and supports the internationalist philosophy behing the PYP.

Leigh, the community at PYP threads started by Kathy Epps looks interesting and vibrant. I challenge you to join and share what develops back here on this Ning in terms of global collaborative projects.

Deniz was part of PYP and involved in a collaborative The Lunch Box Project that seemed to be open an any number of schools communicating via a wiki, emails and maybe Skype. One good example!
