A group for teachers in the K-2 Flat Classroom Project called 'Building Bridges to Tomorrow'. This project was a pilot in early 2012. It is now run twice a year. Full information available on the K-2 New Teacher Guide.

Melanie, we are deciding that this week, and in consultation with you as classroom teachers. No, we are not asking you to split your class into so many topics...we realised a month ago this was NOT going to work at this level. However, we will look at a grid system that allows your students to connect with a subset of your 3-4 classroom group. What do you think will work for this?

Here's a question to all-just working on a grid for my group and feeling crazy! At the last on-line meeting saw an example from another project that was divided into six 'mini' groups...have we made a decision about the # of small gps for collaboration for our team? Is this up to us to decide as a team? Feeling like 6 is alot to manage...

It takes a while to get into the flow of Flat Classroom places and spaces...I appreciate your confusion.
The K-2 wiki is for sharing all classroom activities, including the handshake, and eventually the collaborations and products. We also traditionally add a teachers communication page and resources. It is the portal for all things collaborative that includes students and teachers.
This Ning forum/group is for teachers only, but is also public to the rest of the Flat Classrooms community so we can share and interact as needed. It provides a window into our world, and a place for more public sharing of ideas and media.
The K-2 Google group is private ONLY to the members of the K-2 project, so we can talk/discuss in private and not have to worry about who is reading it.
What I also think we need is a blog, a regular blogging platform such as Wordpress of Blogger will be ideal. We have such amazing educators on this project I feel we need another place to document and discuss and interact re the process of the project. Those who are bloggers already will perhaps understand what I mean about this, those who are not I invite you to come on board and we will model best-practice educational blogging across the world.

I am right there with you Nancy. I was trying to brainstorm about this group blog for this project: maybe a wiki would work best though and everyone adds links under areas. Such as "Handshakes" and people add their content under that and so forth. This would be for everyone so it was a place to display final products of projects/activities. Thoughts?

OK, so am I the only one who is feeling slightly overwhelmed by all the places we are posting?
I know that the wiki is for the members of our group. But I'm having a challenging time trying to decide if I should post something here on the Ning, or the Google Groups, and/or Ning/Groups.... Sure wish there was an app that would allow me to compose once and it would send to all the locations.
Besides the posting, I seem to be hopping everywhere trying to make certain that I'm reading up on everything.....

The images were taken with my iTouch using the WordFoto app, then sent to Picasa Web Albums using the PhotoSender app and then uploaded to JigSaw Planet.
