Caroline Black posted a blog postWe have just recently finished the 12-1 FCCT Global Design Project and the pitches. It reminded me that there are several things I need to wrap up. It is so important to end a project in the right way - to tie up loose ends and reflect on practices. I feel it is also essential to celebrate the work and effort that has gone into any project.
I have not yet had the opportunity to participate in a summit (excepting the GDP pitches). This being said, I have completed several projects this…

My student leadership class is equivalent to a Student Council. We use leadership, event planning, technology, and business course standards to have an interdisciplinary class. My students recently finished their first big project. We did some earlier planning and events, but this was different: each group (2-5 students) had to plan and run an event for our school... and they had to choose what type of event and how to run it.
I gave my students the required outcomes of this task: 1)…

During the past week I have spent time thinking on the topic of what it means to be a digital citizen, and how I can help my students on their journey to becoming a digital citizen. I have come to realize that the first step to helping my students become digital citizens is to check in with what they are saying online.
A Classroom monitoring portal (CMP) is a great way to keep track of what students are doing during an online project. At this moment in time, I do not have a class…

Caroline, thank you again for creating your video that features how to use a PLE for social entrepreneurship. A very touching and real story. Well done! I am wondering if you can embed this here on the Ning so we can more easily find it?
Helen McConaghy said… Thanks for the outsourced video Caroline. It looked great and thanks to your student who let you film her. I encouraged Xavier to film for you and saw that he did it, otherwise I was going to get my kids to let me film them tonight. I also saw your video and was inspired. Mine will probably be late... kinks and things being worked out on Eracism Project and Digitween.
