Hi Ryan Yes, we may be interested here in Beijing, China. What response have you had so far? A cultural exchange is an excellent idea. I am sure it will align with a UOI here. Julie Lindsay Beijing (BISS) International School

Hi Julie,
Yes, we were there for 4 years. Great school with loads of potential but even greater staff and students. I'll have to see Elmer's work on skype. How is he doing that? I'll contact him and see what he's doing. Our school is a bit limited in the computer area to be honest. PC's and use of 'Citrix' controlling everything and going wrong all the time. Use of NING was not allowed in the Junior school but I am thinking of doing something in the Middle/High school. I have already approached the subject but they don't seem too interested and seem worried about it. So I will try again now. I am thinking of setting up a PE Ning for Swiss PE teachers in International schools. Have to see if there is one out there...otherwise I am going to do that today.

Hi Julie!
That is so cool. What a small world! Gosh, I hope I get the hang of all of these networks, so much to learn. You know one of my kids today told me that her sister in the states proofread her research paper last night. Her sister lives in the states and my student is 10, all done online! wow, the world we live in is amazing.

Hi Julie -

Thanks, and yes, I just read about the conference and will also be following your progress as well. If I can't attend the conference in person, is there any way I can participate or help support it remotely?

Best -

Julie,
That sounds great! I would love to do a project with some of your primary teachers. Maybe we could do something easy to start, such as a voicethread comparing our school days where we comment on each other's, to get them introduced.... and maybe have kids brainstorm what they would like to collaborate on. :)
