At this point, my students don't have any formal connections with students in other schools, US or other countries. In the past we have done a teleconference with another school and we've had a few email/pen pal relationships, but they all fizzled. We have published a few times on "Teenink"-a site for teen writers and that has opened up their eyes to possibilities beyond just writing for a class.
Thanks for adding me as a colleague. I've been bouncing around with Twitter and Classroom 2.0 since I've created this page. It's great that you were fortunate to get into Instructional Technology early on. I'll be finished with my Masters this Fall - Dec. 13th to be exact...WhooHoo!!!
