#Challenge 12 Celebration and summation
I shared a summary of my learning so far with some colleagues from my learning community.
On reflection, my graphic was not as good as it could have been. I used a screen shot of a glog I had created as an experiment for the handshake assignment. After the online meeting for the 'Asian' side of the world tonight, Tasha and I have been a bit proactive in stepping forward with our Team 1 project.
Thanks to Paula and Tasha for getting the handshakes up so quickly, they look great!
We are proposing that each class in Team 1 does a voicethread about a game that is popular in your country or area or school. That way, our kids can add their own comments or thoughts or questions to the thread and collaborate that way.
Then, we will go ahead with the 'Play Storm.' Where ALL of our students work in groups of 2 or 3 and are given exactly the same materials. (Not sure what they are just yet. We can discuss that later.) The students will have to make up their own game with those materials and we can collaborate on sharing and playing each others games!
Tasha and I also thought we'd avoid the confusion of so many platforms to communicate. Let's just send each other messages in here. I have created a group for Team 1 and will invite you all in once it's approved.
We decided we should post everything on the wiki and the ning as the ning provides a more global experience (for anyone in the Flat Classroom project).
Tasha and I also talked about Skyping with each other, being in a relatively friendly timezone. I don't know if that's something the US people might be interesting in organising? Just a thought!
I hope this give you a bit of insight. Please keep an eye out for message on here from each other. Look forward to finishing my handshake in the next day or two and posting as well!
