Hello,
Sorry for the delayed response...the Boston NCTM conference was amazing! Boston is a beautiful city with a lot of US history.
The National Math Conferece is in San Diego in April 2010 you should go!! I am planning to go. I attened a pod cast session which was great but I need more training in podcasting to be good though.
Thank you for the information. I will share information from the Boston conference with you. I will also keep in touch for our project! I just received 5 netbooks for my classroom yesterday so my students will now be able to communicate with your class on the project we decide on. My 6th hour has 40 students so if I divide them into groups of 8, one for each computer I think that would be best. November will not be as busy for me as two of my classes will be finished on October. 20th. Take Care!
Hi Virginia,
I have been very busy with homework! I am currently enrolled in 3 classes at Arizona State University. I will be attending the National Conference of Math Teachers (NCTM)in Boston, Mass. October 21-25. I am excited to have a little holiday. I looked at your facebook and it it quite impressive. I think your technology skills and knowlege far surpass mine!!
I just watched a webinar from web event that took place on 9-23-09 on Moodle Part 2. Virgini Alberti was a participant...was that you? The wiki may be easier for me to use at this time. I think I need more training on the moodle.
Hello! I have a friend who knows about Moodle and she is going to teach me & share her information with me on Tuesday. I like Wiki and I am familiar with Ning but I also want to know more about Moodle. I have been asked by my school administraton to lead our Technology PLC (professional learning community). It is very exciitng!
Hi Virginia! Thank you for introducing me to the Moodle! It looks great. It's new to me so I need to research how it works and see how I can use the virtual classroom. :)
Hi Virginia,
Today, I found out that I won a grant for 5 netbooks (small laptop computers) for my classroom. I am very excited to get more technology in my classroom. Tomorrow, my algebra students have a exam on Chapter One which includes the topics: Variables and Expressions, Order of Operations, Properties of Numbers, the Distributive Property, Equations, Relations and Functions. It is a lot of information but it is a very basic introductory level. They had a difficult time with determining whether a relationship is a function, ie. using the vertical line test. In the next unit we will be getting to the good stuff... the study of Linear Equations. I love algebra! Thank you for writing me back as I am very interested in learning about what you are doing in Italy!
Hi Purti,
That sounds great! I know the festival of "Makar Sankranti" is coming soon and we are very excited to learn about it. Will it be possible for you to take pictures or videos of the kites flying, and also some pictures of your students with…
