Hey! Welcome Evan. Good to see you again.
Flat Classrooms alludes to The World is Flat by Thomas Friedman, who analyzes the progress of globalization. With Web2.0 tools we are able to jump into each others' classrooms classrooms which can change the face of teaching and inspire children even more. It certainly helps to bring home the concept of internationalism, open-mindedness and tolerance.
The concept is one of international collaboration. Would encourage other teachers at St Dom's to join up and enter into the conversation on what is possible. Even if people are not aware of the tools, through conversation and possibly some online seminars (especially on Classrooms2.0) they can grow towards wonderful possibilities.
Like your website. :-) Are you aware of Larry Ferlazzo's blog? He collects resources for ESL.

I guess the pertinent thing is to discuss at the beginning of the year. If the enthusiasm exists there must be possibilities.
