Transforming learning through global collaboration

I have created a Jing screen-video which saved in .swf file. I'm trying to upload it to Ning, but need to convert it first (to .avi or the like). My attempts (using WinAVI and swf2avi) have failed to create a converted video. Is there anyone who knows a better way?

Thanks!

Jim

Katie: it appears that Ning likes flash (.flv) but not shockwave (.swf). It has failed to upload twoice now.

John: Julie actually mentioned Zamzar to me on Wednesday, but Zamzar doesn't convert .swf files.

Thanks for your help, though. I think the solution is to use the free upload that Jing offers (I didn't realize it was free to people using Jing -- it pays to pay attention to the fine print sometimes) and then use embedding. I'm also playing with CamStudio, which uses .avi as a native format.

Jim:

If it is a file conversion problem you might want to try Zamzar which is a free file conversion website. It is pretty easy. I hope that this helps.

For Ning, the flash format .swf should work. Do you need avi for something else?
