Transforming learning through global collaboration
I have been using Edmodo as the platform for a global project with eighth grade students from our school in Dallas, TX and partner students in The Saratov Region of Russia. I realized immediately that Edmodo has an app, which means students and teachers can have access 24/7. Having access on your mobile device means your conversations are mobile, they move with you instead of being forced only when you are able to find time and the tool. Because the tool is in your hand, pocket, or purse, individuals are now able to share their thoughts as they arise. This really does help conversations to reach a new level. For example, these students are talking about human rights from their perspectives; so, now they can share their thoughts as they go through life and make the day-to-day connections. Research is alive and well; and, can be shared immediately if so desired.

Exactly! Bravo for sharing this. So many teachers have not really understood how personal and global mobile technology can be and how it can connect ideas and people for so may purposes.
